OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WON’T TURN ON

For an electric stove does not start, be sure the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the oven power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is on, that means a different part will have to be repaired. The cause of the problem could be an infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOES NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that doesn’t produce heat doesn’t do much. Your oven doesn’t heat when there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner will not ignite if an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We can fix these common problems in no more than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

It’s reasonable to assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken if the timer or program functions don’t work. OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You need a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the heat is out of control, it could be because of an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen can find the location of the problem and repair it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is times where an igniter will glow but it does not light. The cause is sometimes from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We can determine if we can repair these parts or if we will have to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning models of ovens can have door problems. The door doesn’t open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door latch, seal and thermostat to identify why the door will not open up and then we complete the repair in order to put an end to the issue.
